Suspect dead after shooting at movie theater in Tennessee: media

A suspect who reportedly wielded a hatchet and a gun inside a movie theater in Nashville, capital of U.S. State of Tennessee, was dead after police responded to a call of a shooting at the movie theater.

The Metro Nashville Police Department has confirmed the death of the suspect, the report said.

The incident was reported at about 1:15 p.m. at the Carmike Hickory 8 cinemas in Antioch, southeast of Nashville, CNN said, adding that witnesses at a nearby business said they saw one person covered in blood.

There is no information so far on other injuries at this time. Metro Nashville police are now searching the two backpacks that reportedly belonged to the suspect at the time of the incident. Endite
