Hospital confirms Di Maria on medical before move to PSG

Xinhua, August 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

A hospital in Doha, Qatar confirmed Tuesday that Angel Di Maria was having a medical there ahead of his move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-German.

"#AngelDiMaria in Aspetar, Doha for a medical test ahead of a proposed move from @ManUtd to @PSG_inside," announced Aspetar, a specialist sports hospital in Qatar's capital city on its Twitter feed.

The tweet was accompanied by photographs of the 27-year-old Argentine winger at the hospital with PSG officials.

According to earlier reports, Di Maria was given permission to fly to Qatar for medical after Manchester United agreed a 63 million euros (about 69.08 million U.S. dollars) fee with the French champions.

The Argentine international joined Manchester United from La Liga's Real Madrid for a British record 59.7 million pounds (about 93.28 million U.S. dollars) a year ago, but failed to win a regular starting position at Old Trafford under coach Louis van Gaal.

Di Maria only started one of the final 10 games of last season and scored the last of his three league goals for the club in October.

The Argentinian did not join United's recent pre-season tour of the United States. Endi
