Singapore stocks close 0.05 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.75 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 3,191.04.

A total of 1.96 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 37 billion Singapore dollars (991.2 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered losers 233 to 207, while 501 others finished unchanged.
