Noble Energy reports 109 million U.S. dollars loss in Q2

Noble Energy, a Houston-based oil and gas producer, on Monday reported a second quarter loss of 109 million U.S. dollars, down from earnings of 192 million U.S. dollars a year earlier.

According to a statement issued by Noble Energy, the company's revenue in the second quarter of this year dropped from 1.38 billion U.S. dollars to 730 million U.S. dollars, a 47-percent decline amid falling energy prices.

During the second quarter that ended in June, the revenue of natural gas declined from 297 million U.S. dollars to 215 million U.S. dollars, and the crude oil and condensate sale fell to 483 million U.S. dollars, a 50-percent decline year on year.

The total sales volumes climbed 3.1 percent, and this was made up of liquids including crude oil, accounting for 43 percent, and natural gas accounting for the remaining 57 percent. Endit
