Commonwealth Youth Forum opens for applications

Xinhua, August 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

The applications for the Commonwealth Youth Forum (CYF) started on Monday to all Maltese adolescents and youth aged 16-29 who want to participate in.

Held in Malta between Nov. 21 and 25, 2015 as part of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), the CYF will offer a unique opportunity for Maltese youths to discuss the future of the Commonwealth and have their say about it.

CYF is hosted by the Government of Malta, and co-organized with the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Youth Council. It is one of the four fora held just before CHOGM to help set the agenda for the actual meeting between Heads of Government.

The event brings together youth leaders from across the Commonwealth to exchange ideas and share experiences, build skills and networks, identify the most vital challenges and opportunities facing young people today, and make recommendations to decision makers at the highest levels.

The 53-member Commonwealth heads of government meeting CHOGM convenes every two years and aims to bring together leaders of member countries to discuss common themes and initiatives. Endit
