Xinhua, August 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

More than 700 athletes from both China and Mongolia gathered on Sunday in Erenhot, a border city of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for a three-day international Nadam fair.

The Nadam fair is co-organized by Erenhot and its neighbor Zamin-Uud, one of Mongolia's border cities facing China.

Competitors will participate in a series of sports items including horse racing, Mongolian wrestling, archery, organizers said.

During the fair, Mongolian traditional singing and dancing show will be held as well.

Nadam is a mass traditional Mongolian festival where people celebrate harvests and pray for good luck. Endi
