Bundesliga side Wolfsburg wins Weifang Cup title

Bundesliga side Wolfsburg beat Guadalajara of Mexico 1-0 here on Saturday to win the Weifang Cup title.

Wolfsburg won four of five games, which led them to the title. They took the few scoring chances in a tough game against Guadalajara.

The first half was a pulsating affair with both sides looking to attack.Anton opened the scoring for Wolfsburg at the 28th minute.

Guadalajara strengthened attack in the second half, but they missed several good scoring chances. Wolfsburg secured the victory by their tough defense.

"We did well in the swift change of defensive and offensive, and our players kept their position well. These two important factors led us to the victory." Wolfsburg head coach Schmidt said.

Seven youth teams from Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, China, the Netherlands, along with China's national youth team, participated in the 2015 Luneng Weifang Cup International Youth Tournament which kicked off on July 26 and ended on Aug. 1. Endi
