Car crash kills five in Azerbaijan

As many as five people were killed in a car accident in eastern Azerbaijan on Saturday, according to the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The incident happened on the 45th km section of the highway that connects the capital city of Baku with Quba town, 165 km northwest of Baku.

In the accident, an Opel car carrying five people smashed into a Mercedes car which was parking on the roadside.

All the passengers aboard the Opel including the driver died on the spot. Rescuers had recovered five dead bodies from the car.

The incident, one of the most deadly car accidents in the country, remains under investigation. Endi
