Singapore stocks close 1.45 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 47.02 points, or 1.45 percent, to close at 3,202.50.

A total of 1.87 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 2. 17 billion Singapore dollars (1.58 billion U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 323 to 135, while 482 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 34.48 points, or 1.05 percent, to close at 3, 249.52 on Thursday. Endi
