As wildlife crime becomes an increasingly global problem, the UN's 193 member states on Thursday adopted a resolution committing to improving national and international efforts to prevent, combat and eradicate the illegal trade in wildlife.
The resolution -- which was sponsored by 86 countries, including China, and adopted by the General Assembly of 193 countries -- calls on governments to step-up their efforts and work together to tackle the crime which has become a lucrative form of income for international crime syndicates.(UN-Wildlife-Resolution)

LONDON -- British Prime Minister David Cameron on Thursday described migrants trying to reach Britain as a "swarm", triggering criticisms from political opponents for his use of "dehumanizing" language over the ongoing migrant crisis.

CAIRO -- The United States will deliver eight F-16 fighter jets to Egypt, as part of its ongoing military support to Egypt, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo announced Thursday.
The statement on its website said the eight F-16 Block 52 aircrafts will be flown in directly from the United States and arrive at an air base outside Cairo by Friday. Four more F-16s will be delivered to Egypt later this year, it added. (US-Egypt-Aircrafts)

PARIS -- The plane wreckage found on the Reunion Island will be transferred to Toulouse to be analysed by the General Directorate of Armaments (DGA), reported Thursday the newspaper Le Figaro.
The wreckage piece will arrive Saturday in Toulouse, and will be studied by the laboratory specializing in "investigations after accidents", said Le Figaro. (France-MH370) Endi
