117 Boko Haram fighters killed by Chadian army

About 117 fighters of Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram were killed by Chadian army in Lake Chad area over the last two weeks, Chadian General Staff said in a press release on Thursday.

Some equipments of Boko Haram were destroyed and severy boats and weapons were recovered, the release said.

The release said two chadian soldiers were killed and 2 others wounded in the fighting.

Over the last two weeks, Boko Haram fighters infiltrated into Lake Chad area. Faced with this situation, Chadian army launched an offensive on the fighters. Enditem
