Georgia wins its first gold medal at Olympic Festival

Georgian judoka Robinson Beglarishvili won the first gold medal for Georgia at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Tbilisi on Wednesday.

In the 60kg final, the Georgian sportsman' s advantage could be seen from the very first seconds to the end against Italian Manuel Lombardo, local media said, hailing the victory for the host country.

As for now, Georgia has gained one gold and two bronze medals.

The 13th European Youth Olympic Festival kicked off in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia, on July 26, 2015. Over 3800 athletes from 50 European countries participate in the 7-day Festival. Endi
