Spanish stock market recovers after Monday losses

The Spanish stock market made a recovery on Tuesday following the losses on Monday as a result of the falls in the Chinese market and doubts over Wednesday's meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve.

Better results from China after s slow start to the day helped restore confidence in Madrid, which was reflected in the day's results.

The Ibex-35 rose by 0.96 percent to end the day on 11,252.40 points, with all but four companies making gains.

Construction company FCC was the big winner of the day as share prices rose by 5.24 percent, while shares in energy company Endesa rose by 3.36 percent.

Among the companies to lose share value were supermarket chain Dia, whose shares saw over 5 percent chopped of their value, while OHL shares fell by 0.99 percent.

The Spanish risk premium ended the day on 121 points, a fall of 2.5 points, while the interest on the Spanish 10-year-bond was 1.91 percent. Endit
