The China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) has finished building a new bridge across the Vanjob River in Tajikistan's eastern region of Gorno-Badakhshan.

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon attended the bridge-opening ceremony, according to the presidential press service Tuesday.

Construction work on the bridge, which spans the Vanjob River on the Dushanbe-Kulyab-Khorog highway, started in September 2014. The total cost of the project was 4.306 million U.S. dollars.

The bridge, with a load capacity of 100 tons, is 145 meters long and 10.5 meters wide.

The agreement on the construction of the bridge was signed by Tajikistan's transport ministry as well as the CRBC. Endi
