11 abducted Afghans released in northern Afghan province

The abductors of 11 bus passengers set free their abductees after 48 hours keeping in captivity in Baghlan province with Pul-e-Khumri as its capital 160 km north of Kabul on Tuesday, deputy to provincial police chief Abdul Qadim Niazi said.

"With the efforts of government and tribal elders, all 11 abductees were set free today morning," Niazi told reporters here.

He also blamed Taliban militants for abduction of the 11 passengers who were taken out from a bus Sunday morning in Dand-d- Ghori area outside provincial capital Pul-e-Khumri.

Taliban militants have yet to make comment. Endi
