Singaporean PM urges to keep alive spirit of pioneers

Xinhua, July 27, 2015 Adjust font size:

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Monday urged Singaporeans to keep alive the spirit of the pioneers, who made sacrifices for one another.

He made the remarks while addressing an appreciation night for about 1,600 volunteers, known as Pioneer Generation Ambassadors.

Lee said it's a good time for Singaporeans to reflect on what kind of society they want to build as the country will celebrate its Golden Jubilee in less than a fortnight's time.

He stressed that the pioneers "sacrificed for one another and for the nation", and he wish that the spirit would continue in this and future generations. Endi
