DPR Korea beats Philippines at women's volleyball tournament in Vietnam

DPR Korea eased past the Philippines 25-4, 25-13, 25-16 on Monday afternoon at the 2015 International Women's Volleyball Tournament - VTV Cup in Vietnam's southern Bac Lieu province.

In the second and third set of the match, DPR Korea fielded most of young inexperienced players.

After the match, the Filipino coach said his team lost all three matches at the same scores of 0-3, but their players gained good experience.

The Philippines has not invested in women's volleyball for years, he noted.

Also on Monday, the Chinese volleyball club Liaoning is to play compatriots Nanjing, and defending champions Vietnam to face U-23 Thailand.

The tournament, running from July 25 to Aug. 1, attracted six teams from China, DPR Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. Endi
