Dollar changes hands in upper 123 yen zone in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded at the upper 123 yen level in early Tokyo Friday.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.88-89 yen compared with 123.87-97 yen in New York and 123.78-80 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.0987-0988 dollars and 136.11-12 yen against 1.0978-0988 dollars and 136.01-11 yen in New York and 1.0985-0986 dollars and 135.98-136.02 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endi
