Brazil to meet USA in friendly at Gillette Stadium

Xinhua, July 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

Brazil will meet the USA in a friendly at Gillette Stadium - home of the NFL's New England Patriots - on September 8, the South American country's football confederation (CBF) said on Thursday.

The clash in Foxborough, near Boston, will be the Selecao's first outing since their Copa America quarterfinal loss to Paraguay on penalties last month.

Brazil coach Dunga will announce his squad for the fixture at a press conference in Rio de Janeiro on August 13, the CBF said in a statement.

The friendly will be one of the last chances for Dunga to fine-tune his team ahead of South America's 25-month World Cup qualifying campaign starting in October.

World football's governing body FIFA will announce the qualifying draw at a ceremony in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on Saturday. Endi
