Indonesia to host regional peacekeeping meeting

Indonesia is to host the Asia Pacific Regional Meeting to be attended by representatives of countries contributed to peacekeeping forces, regional organizations and the United Nations, officials said on Thursday.

The meeting themed Complex Peacekeeping Strategies: Enhancing Capabilities and Responses of the UN Peacekeeping Operations would run from July 27 to 28, to discuss mandates of UN peacekeeping missions which are going to be more complex and multidimensional.

Besides that, delegations attending the meeting would also discuss increasing global demands on the need of UN peacekeeping forces presence. Endi
