Chinese ambassador encourages more cooperation with Albania

Meeting with members of the Albania-China Parliamentary Group of Friendship on Wednesday, Chinese Ambassador to Albania Jiang Yu said the two countries should enhance cooperation in various fields.

Jiang thanked the members for encouraging friendship between the two countries, expressing her confidence that in the future it would advance through more exchanges and cooperation.

She said China and Albania should try together to build good relations at a higher level by enhancing bilateral meetings and exchanges.

These exchanges will further consolidate the political basis of relations between Tirana and Beijing, said the Chinese ambassador.

She suggested more concrete cooperation in the economy and trade sector, which plays the role of a supporting pillar in the Chinese-Albanian ties.

She also said that cultural and local exchanges should be expanded. She mentioned the successful organization of the Week of Chinese Movies in cooperation with the National History Museum.

The ambassador said that Yangzhou and Shantou municipalities have sent delegations to Albania for friendly exchanges with Vlora and Durres municipalities respectively, and the embassy is planning a series of cultural activities between Chinese and Albanian youngsters and cooperation between the two state radios.

Jiang underlined that China and Albania may bring together the strategies of development, demands and advantages, as well as the model of cooperation. Endit
