Xinhua, July 21, 2015 Adjust font size:

The San Antonio Spurs overcame a 10-point deficit in the first half to win the NBA Las Vegas Summer League championship Monday with a 93-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns.

Becky Hammon, the first woman to serve as a full-time NBA assistant after Spurs' head coach Gregg Popovich, made history again this time. She led the team' s summer league squad, becoming the league' s first female head coach.

"It's just a credit to (the players)," Hammon said after the game. "They found a little bit of a groove with each other and they got it done on the defensive end."

Mike James had a game-high 32 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. T.J. Warren grabbed 17 points and 6 rebounds. Archie Goodwin added 12 points for the Suns.

Jonathan Simmons had 23 points and Treveon Graham had 22 points for the Spurs. Kyle Anderson grabbed 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Endi
