Georgia officially opens European Olympic Village

Georgia' s Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili on Monday officially opened the European Olympic Village, which is built to host athletes for Tbilisi 2015 European Youth Olympics.

"Tbilisi has already received the Olympic Flame, while today we are opening this wonderful Olympic Village, where our guests and participants of the festival will be accommodated. As you can see, all condition is ready to host our guests in a proper way," said the Prime Minister at the opening ceremony in Tbilisi.

The European Olympic Village was built by a Chinese company named Hualing Group, which is one of the biggest foreign investors in Georgia.

The 2015 European Youth Olympic Festival is scheduled to held in Georgia' s capital Tbilisi from July 26 to August 1. Over 3800 athletes from 50 European countries will participate in the European Youth Olympic Festival. Endi
