Five foreign teams to participate in Vietnam' s int' l volleyball cup

Five foreign teams are expected to join the 2015 Vietnam' s state-run television (VTV) International Women's Volleyball Cup, said organizers here on Monday.

The tournament will be held from July 25 to August 1 in Bac Lieu province of south Vietnam, some 1,300 km south of capital Hanoi.

Together with Vietnamese women' s volleyball team, other five foreign teams to participate in the championship include Thailand U23, the Philippines, the Democratic People' s Republic of Korea, China' s Liaoning and China' s Nanjing, according to organizers at a press conference on announcing the event held in Hanoi on Monday.

Teams will compete in round-robin format to choose four with the highest scores into semifinal, Vietnam' s state-run news agency VNA quoted organizers as saying on Monday.

According to the draw, Vietnamese team will play against the Philippines on the opening match on July 25, reported VNA. Endi
