5 Czechs kidnapped in Lebanon: report

The Lebanese authorities are searching for five Czechs and their Lebanese driver who have been kidnapped in the eastern Bekaa Valley region, the National News Agency (NNA) said Saturday.
The five, along with their Lebanese driver have been missing since Friday night, when their car a Kia was discovered in the Kefraya region in the western part of the Bekaa, the NNA report said.
The authorities believe that the kidnapping is triggered by the arrest of a Lebanese citizen in the Czech Republic.
It added that suitcases, scattered clothes, three cameras and five Czech passports were found inside the car.
The NNA said that the 50-year-old driver, Munir Taan, who was from the southern city of Nabatieh, works as a taxi driver at Rafic Hariri Beirut International airport.
It added that the five Czechs, all of who are journalists, have entered Lebanon on May 1st and then reentered the country on June 7th. Enditem
