Polish parliamentary elections to be held on Oct. 25

Xinhua, July 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski announced Friday that parliamentary elections in the country will be held on Oct. 25.

The elections for the lower and upper houses of Polish Parliament, Sejm and Senat, will be held the same day.

According to the president, this date will give the National Electoral Commission enough time to go from counting the results of referendum held on Sept. 6 to the activities connected with the parliamentary elections.

During the upcoming elections, the Poles will choose 460 deputies and 100 senators for a four-year term of office. Last elections were held on Oct. 9, 2011. Endit
