Former Australian deputy PM launches "boutique" beer

Xinhua, July 17, 2015 Adjust font size:

Former Australian deputy Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Labor Party powerbroker who is still in parliament launched his Albo Corn Ale beer in Sydney on Friday which will be available in bottles and selected hotels.

It is being made at an inner-Sydney micro-brewery and is regarded as "boutique" beer.

The now opposition infrastructure, transport and tourism spokesman in recent months has also revealed an alter ego called DJ Albo who has played sets of songs at several functions recently.

Albanese was an instrumental player in the power wars between former prime ministers Kevin Rudd and Julia Gillard.

Gillard toppled Rudd before Rudd then toppled Gillard and Albanese then became deputy prime minister in 2013 before Rudd was beaten by now Prime Minister Tony Abbott at the polls. Endi
