French stock market index up 1.47 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained an advance of 1.47 percent to close at 5,121.50 points on Thursday, up 74.26 points.

With Greek parliament saying yes to the Greek third bailout plan, the CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Thursday with 37 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance.

The top three gainers on Thursday were Orange, up 3.45 percent, Carrefour, up 2.79 percent, and Bouygues, up 2.57 percent.

The only three companies whose stocks dropped on Thursday were Alcatel-Lucent, down 0.43 percent, Technip, down 0.08 percent, and ArcelorMittal, down 0.07 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.29 percent to close at 5,047.24 points, up 14.77 points. Endit
