False information grounds mainland-Taiwan flight

A flight from the Chinese mainland to Taiwan made a return on Thursday and safely grounded in Nanchang after a passenger aboard claimed the aircraft was under threat.

The MU 2047 flight operated by China Eastern Airlines was bound for Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan from Nanchang, capital of central China's Jiangxi Province.

An investigation showed that the alarm was a false one and the flight took off again later, China Eastern Airlines said, adding that the passenger has been transferred to the police. Endi
