Vietnam to host international table tennis tourney

Up to 77 players from eight Asian countries and regions will compete at the 29th Golden Racket table tennis championships in Ho Chi Minh City from July 23-27, Vietnam News Agency reported Wednesday.

Players are from India, China's Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

According to Tran Trong Truc, General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Table Tennis Federation, South Koreans are favorites for men's titles, while Zeng Jian of Singapore will be the top contender for the women's singles. Endi
