Indonesian president installs new army chief

Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Wednesday installed Leut. General Mulyono as the country's army chief of staff at the State Palace.

Mulyono replaced General Gatot Nurmantyo who was appointed as Indonesian Military commander.

Mulyono was commander of the army strategic and reserve command (Pangkostrad), commander for the Jakarta military command, and assistant of operation for the army chief of staff.
