German automaker BMW Group reported here on Thursday that its sales continued to grow in June, while deliveries of BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce brand vehicles rose by 8.0 percent, hitting the company's best June sales.

A total of 208,813 BMW vehicles were delivered to customers in June. As a result, 1,099,748 vehicles were delivered in the first half of the year, up by 7.8 percent year on year, marking the best six-month sales, according to BMW.

"We are pleased with the growth achieved in the first half of 2015," said Ian Robertson, member of the board of management of BMW AG for sales and marketing.

"Despite headwinds in some markets, we are seeing overall growth all around the world in Europe, Asia and the Americas," Robertson continued, adding that sustainable rate of growth will continue in the second half of the year.

According to BMW, a total of 336,344 BMW and MINI models, a year-on-year rise of 4.5 percent, have been delivered to Asian customers in the first six months. Alone in the Chinese mainland, the sales grew by 2.5 percent to 230,601. Endit
