Left-wing candidate wins mayoral election in Tirana

Albanian Central Election Commission (CEC) on Wednesday announced Erion Veliaj, the left-wing candidate of Alliance for European Albania, the winner of local election on June 21 for Tirana mayor.

CEC on Wednesday approved the full table of results for local election of Tirana municipality, the capital of Albania.

In the race for Tirana mayor, Veliaj competed with the right-wing alliance candidate, Halim Kosova, as well as several independent candidates. Enditem
