The German capital has once again become the focus of the fashion industry, with arrays of men's and women's spring and summer collections created by both local and international talent being presented at Berlin Fashion Week.

The biannual fashion event kicked off Tuesday in front of Berlin's landmark Brandenburg gate and runs until July 10. Over 50 fashion shows will be hosted, with fashion labels and major brands showcasing their latest collections for the next spring summer season.

There are also fashion salons, after parties, exhibitions and numerous off-site events to be held during fashion week.

Berlin Fashion Week is held twice a year - in January and July - in the German capital. Started in summer 2007, it has gained increasing attention in recent years for drawing many creative young designers. Endit
