Nigeria invites 50 athletes to All Africa Games camp

Xinhua, July 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's athletics governing body has invited 50 athletes to camp for the 2015 All-Africa Games.

Republic of Congo will host the quadrennial multi-sport All-Africa Games between September 4 and 19 in Brazzaville.

The athletes' camping officially opened this week at the University of Port Harcourt, said, Omatseye Nesiama, the Technical Director of Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN).

Nesiama told reporters in Lagos that substitutions would be effected to both athletes and coaches, depending on the performances posted at the remaining competitions leading up to the National trials.

According to him, a consortium of coaches had been invited to manage the camp in the interim before a formal coaches interview/selection exercise that would take place at the end of the trials. Endi
