6 students injured in Sri Lanka during lab experiment

Six students from a local school in Chilaw of the North Western province of Sri Lanka, were rushed to hospital with burn injuries on Tuesday when they were exposed to chemicals in the school's laboratory.

The police said the students belonging to the Dewatapitiya School in the Puttalam district were rushed to hospital by the school authorities when a beaker exploded in the laboratory, exposing them to dangerous chemicals.

Those injured have been admitted to the Chilaw Hospital. Local police have launched an investigation into the incident. Endi
