Mexican driver Sergio Perez, from Sahara Force India team, ended ninth in Formula One British Grand Prix in Silverstone Circuit on Sunday.

Sergio "Checo" Perez said he had a difficult race because he stopped late which made him lost one position against Carlos Sainz.

"I lost the lap but I think the people in pits did not have enough information and I had to drive another lap when the track was very wet and I lost a lot of time. It was a tough week, but we still have more time with the car's B version for the next races," said Perez.

Perez won two points and his team partner, German Nico Hulkenberg who finished seventh, won six points. And the team kept the fifth position in the World Constructors' Championship standing.

Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton notched his fifth victory this year, third one in Silverstone and 38th in his F1 career. Hamilton need two more victories to reach German Sebastian Vettel's mark and three to reach the record of deceased Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna.

Hamilton's teammate, German Nico Rosberg, arrived second 11 seconds behind. Third place was for German Vettel (Ferrari).

Brazilian Felipe Massa (Williams) came in fourth place. He was leader at lap 15 and second for more than 12 laps.

Also Brazilian Felipe Nasr (Sauber) could not begin the race and Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado (Lotus) did not finish because of a collision.

The next F1 Grand Prix will be held on July 26 in Hungary's Hungaroring Circuit, in Budapest. Endi
