Hamburg snapped up striker Batuhan Altintas from Turkish outfit Bursaspor, the "HSV" confirmed in an official statement via the club's official homepage on Saturday.

The 19-year-old striker joined from Turkish first division side Bursaspor and put pen to paper on a two-year deal, which keeps him with the "Rothosen" until June 2017. Altintas is Hamburg's first new arrival of the summer transfer window.

"Batuhan is a great talent in Turkey. He comes from a soccer family. His father played as a professional at Galatasaray. We already contacted him a half year ago and are now very delighted that he is with us now. We hope that he accustoms quickly to develop as well as in the Turkish league," Hamburg's CEO Dietmar Beiersdorfer said.

Hamburg is the only club that has never been relegated into the second division in the Bundesliga history. However, the "HSV" avoided their relegation in the last two campaigns in the last nick of time.

Hamburg encounter German record champions and title holder Bayern Munich for the season opener on August 14. Endi
