German Chancellor Merkel to visit Albania on July 8

Albanian government said on Friday that German Chancellor Angela Merkel will visit Albania on July 8.

The main themes of the trip will be the bilateral relations and the relations with the EU, as well as economic and energy issues.

The German delegation will first meet with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Albanian President, Bujar Nishani.

This is the first official visit by a German Chancellor to Albania since Gerhard Schroeder in 1999. Endit
