French stock market index down 0.57 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight decrease of 0.57 percent at 4,808.22 points on Friday, down 27.34 points.

On the last trading day before Greece's Sunday referendum, the CAC 40 of Paris closed with slight decrease with 34 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease, while Safran stayed the same as previous trading day.

The top three gainers on Friday were Alcatel-Lucent, up 0.64 percent, Vinci, up 0.38 percent, and ArcelorMittal, up 0.33 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Friday were Technip, down 1.86 percent, GDF Suez, down 1.47 percent, Vivendi, down 1.35 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 closed with a slight decrease of 0.98 percent at 4,835.56 points, down 47.63 points. Endit
