A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Pishan County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 9:07 a.m. on Friday, China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10 km, was initially determined to be at 37.6 degrees north latitude and 78.2 degrees east longitude.
