French stock market index down 0.98 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 closed with a slight decrease of 0.98 percent at 4,835.56 points on Thursday, down 47.63 points.

With uncertainties about Greece's Sunday referendum, the CAC 40 of Paris closed with slight decrease with 35 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The top three gainers on Thursday were EDF, up 1.86 percent, GDF Suez, up 1.43 percent, and Veolia Environnement, up 1.00 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Valeo, down 2.57 percent, Accor, down 2.21 percent, and Publicis Groupe, down 1.91 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 rebounded strongly by 1.94 percent at 4,883.19 points, up 92.99 points. Endit
