21 killed in road accident in India

At least 21 persons were killed and 17 others injured Wednesday when the bus in which they were traveling collided with a truck in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, said local media.

The incident took place near Choti Chhaegaon Makhan area of the state, when the bus carrying 38 passengers collided head-on with a truck on Khandwa-Indore road, the Press Trust of India quoted Khandwa Superintendent of police M. S. Sikarwar as saying.

Road accidents take place frequently in India with at least 110, 000 killed on the road each year in the country. Endi
