Eurozone annual inflation down to 0.2 pct in June

Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 0.2 percent in June 2015, down from 0.3 percent in May 2015, according to a flash estimate from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union (EU).
Looking at the main components of euro area inflation, food, alcohol and tobacco is expected to have the highest annual rate in June, followed by services, non-energy industrial goods and energy.
Eurostat figures also showed that seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate of the Eurozone was 11.1 percent in May, stable compared with last month, and down from 11.6 percent in May 2014. This is the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since March 2012.
The lowest unemployment rate was recorded in Germany, and the highest in Greece and Spain.
Unemployment rate in the 28-member EU was 9.6 percent in May 2015, also stable compared with the previous month and down from 10.3 percent in May 2014. This is the lowest rate recorded in the EU since July 2011.
Compared with April 2015, the number of people unemployed decreased by 38,000 in the EU and by 35,000 in the euro area. Endit
