1st LD: Egypt prosecutor general wounded in car bombing

Egyptian Prosecutor General Hisham Barakat was slightly wounded on Monday in a car bombing in Cairo, local media reported.

The explosion hit Barakat's motorcade while he was about to leave for work, state news agency MENA reported, citing a security source.

The bomb was planted under one of the cars of the motorcade parked in a side street in Cairo's Heliopolis district, MENA said.

It was not clear whether there were any other casualties in the attack. Endit
