Xi to attend BRICS, SCO summit next week

Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the 7th BRICS summit and 15th SCO summit to be held in Ufa of Russia next week.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Lu Kang announced Monday that Xi will attend the 7th BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) summit on July 8-9 and the 15th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) on July 9-10 in Ufa at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
