Xinhua, June 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

Thanks to two late goals in the second half, Beijing Guoan beat Chongqing Lifan 2-0 at home on Sunday to move a point clear at the top of 2015 Chinese Super League (CSL).

After a goalless first half, Beijing broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute when China international forward Yu Dabao back-heeled the ball through for Pablo Batalla to score. Chen Zhizhao doubled the lead in the 81st.

Beijing has 33 points from 16 rounds of play, followed by Shanghai SIPG on 32.

Guangzhou Evergrande could have joined Beijing Guo'an on the top of the table, but it is now two points behind the leader after it was held 1-1 at the newcomer Shijiazhuang EverBright.

Mao Jianqin put Shijiazhuang 1-0 ahead in the 50th minute, while Guangzhou equalized through a Gao Lin effort in 72nd minute.

Shandong Luneng grabbed its first victory in four rounds by beating Changchun Yatai 2-1. Wang Yongpo and Aloisio scored for Luneng.
