Thousands of Israelis protested in central Tel Aviv Saturday evening against a natural gas deal between the government and a U.S.-Israeli energy conglomerate, calling for better transparency.

Under a deal approved by the cabinet Thursday, the U.S. Noble Energy company and Israeli conglomerate Delek Group, both owned by Israeli tycoon Isaac Tshuva, gains the right to develop Israel's Tamar and Leviathan offshore reserves. The government is expected to submit the deal to the parliament for approval this coming week. (Israel-U.S.-Energy)

BRUSSELS -- Eurogroup President Jeroen Dijsselbloem said on Saturday that 18 Eurogroup financial ministers have rejected Greece's request for an extension so that it could put the creditors' proposals to a popular vote on July 5.

"The current financial assistance arrangement with Greece will expire on June 30," according to an official statement released by the Eurogroup after an emergency financial ministers' meeting in Brussels. (EU-Greece-Debt)

LONDON -- At least 15 British nationals have been killed in Friday's attack in Tunisia, the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) confirmed on Saturday.

In the latest press release, Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Tobias Ellwood said the number may well rise as "several more have been seriously injured in this horrific attack." (Tunisia-Terror-Attack)

BEIRUT -- The Lebanese Security forces foiled on Saturday a bomb plot in capital Beirut that is believed to be ordered by the Islamic State (IS) group, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The NNA said that two Lebanese suspects, who intended to carry out the attack under IS order, have been arrested and transferred to the Military General Prosecution. They were under observation by the general Security agents. (Lebanon-IS-Attack)

BAMAKO -- Unidentified gunmen attacked a western Mali town close to the border of Mauritania on Saturday before they were repelled by the military, an army spokesman said.

The armed attack took place in Nara, a Mali town near the Mauritanian border. (Mali-Gunmen-Attack) Endi
