Tajikistan plans to spend one million U.S. dollars to prepare a team to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, the country's National Olympic Committee (NOC) said Thursday.

The NOC Secretary General Bahrullo Rajabaliev said Wednesday that the NOC, the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism and other sports federations will provide the necessary back-up to ensure that athletes qualify for the games.

"To prepare the athletes for the upcoming Olympic Games we pay attention to such disciplines as boxing, wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, judo, taekwondo and athletics," said Akhtam Abdullozoda, chairman of the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism. Endi
