Mainland, Macao eye further security cooperation

Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun on Wednesday said mainland police will expand cooperation with Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) security forces.

"Mainland police will support Macao security forces on matters that are conducive to the SAR's prosperity, stability and its people's welfare," Guo said while meeting with Wong Sio Chak, Macao SAR's secretary for security, in Beijing.

He expressed appreciation for previous cooperation missions between mainland police and Macao security forces, and urged the continuation of such practices to benefit people on both sides.

Wong also expressed willingness to deepen cooperation and pledged to make more contributions to maintaining the SAR's long-term prosperity and stability. Endi
